There is a lot of value to be found in asking the right question. The right question can save your life if you find yourself trapped in a cave of riddles or it can bring you satori next to a pine tree atop the chilly heights of Mt. Fuji. I myself have always been a serious questioner. Asking questions is my life. Often enough you can find me in an empty park or in the corner of a room, pondering the deep questions of life with a cup of oolong tea in hand. Incidentally, tea helps the harder thoughts go down easier as do other libations. I’m a ponderer, and I take that vocation very seriously. I am always seeking to ask harder questions of myself, and I try to surround myself with friends who are even more discerning and critical. Thus, my life has become for me an intentional laboratory of personal development and change- some successes and many failures, though they are only failures if you don’t learn from them. That’s what I do here on this blog. I learn from them. The philosophy of my laboratory? It’s an old maxim, but some old maxims endure for a reason. Don’t work harder, work smarter. As a student in college I am constantly asking myself, “How can I learn this better and more effectively? How can I learn this faster and more efficiently? What do you do? I recently graduated University of Tennessee Knoxville, where I majored in Latin and minor in Greek and Religious Studies. For the next two years I will be at Harvard Divinity School pursuing a Masters of Theological Studies. I drink coffee with Nikki Klein, my beautiful girlfriend, while she tries to convince me to do adventurous things like hiking, biking, and rock climbing. Oh and I am crazy about these things right now:
